Dentistry with (Nitrous) Sedation

We are proud to say that most of our patients feel little or no anxiety when visiting our clinic because of our trusted panel of dental doctors; however, for many new patients, we understand that dental treatments can be stressful. To help these patients manage anxiety and nervousness, we can include anxiolytics medications, like nitrous, to help them feel relaxed.

Nitrous or laughing gas helps patients relax during their procedure and makes any discomfort more bearable. It is inhaled through a mask that is fitted over your nose. You will be able to hear and respond to directions while you take it since it does not put you to sleep. The effects of the gas wear off as soon as the gas is removed.

If you are feeling anxious about your treatment, speak to our experienced dental practitioners to figure out which option is best for you. They are trained to manage your anxiety and answer any questions you may have about the treatment.

One additional tip: Make sure to have someone drive you home after your treatment if you used anxiolytic medications.
